În cadrul expoziţiei Forme în timp – viitorul nostalgiei. Lucrări din colecţia Telekom de la MNAC, Ariane Beyn, coordonatoarea secţiunii de arte vizuale a programului DAAD – Artists-in-Berlin şi directoarea daadgalerie (din 2008), va vorbi despre importanţa istorică, impactul prezent şi perspectivele de viitor ale programului.

DAAD Artists-in-Berlin este un program de rezidenţe pentru artişti internaţionali indiferent de ţara de origine şi de vârstă. A fost instituit de Fundaţia Ford în 1963 şi preluat de Serviciul German de Schimb Academic (DAAD) în 1964. Este unul din cele mai cunoscute programe internaţionale de burse, fiind totodată un atelier destinat artelor. Mai bine de 1000 de artişti provenind din literatură, muzică, film şi arte vizuale au lucrat în cadrul DAAD Artists-in-Berlin de la fondarea lui. Scopul programului este crearea unui forum de schimb cultural şi dialog artistic care să asigure condiţiile de libertate a producţiei artistice în faţa constrângerilor pieţei.

Prezentarea Arianei Beyn este ultima din seria de întâlniri şi discuţii organizate pe durata expoziţiei Forme în timp – viitorul nostalgiei. Lucrări din colecţia Telekom de la MNAC.

In the framework of the exhibition Shape of Time – Future of Nostalgia. Works from Art Collection

Telekom at MNAC, Ariane Beyn, head of the visual arts section at the DAAD’s Artists-in-Berlin program and director of the daadgalerie (since 2008), will talk about the historical and actual importance and the future perspectives of the program.

The DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program is a residential program for international artists of all countries and all ages. It was founded by the Ford Foundation in 1963 and was taken over by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in 1964. The program is one of the most internationally renowned scholarship programs and is, at the same time, a living studio for the arts. More than 1000 foreign artists have lived and worked under its auspices in the fields of literature, music, film and visual arts since it was established. The aim of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program is to offer a forum for cultural exchange and artistic dialogue and to provide freedom for artistic work by endeavouring to liberate creativity from the dictates of the market.

The talk is the final one of a series of talks accompanying the Shape of Time – Future of Nostalgia. Works from the Art Collection Telekom exhibition at MNAC.
