Sibiu: expoziția O TEMPORA, O MORES! GERT FABRITIUS – 10.07 – 30.08.2021

Forţa creatoare şi „o plăcere de nestăvilit de a desena“ (Fabritius) marchează până în prezent creaţiile artistului german de origine transilvană Gert Fabritius. Lucrările sale de grafică care au luat naştere în ritmul unor înscrieri de jurnal, se prezintă ca activitate artistică eliberatoare cu orientare înspre sine şi incertitudini specifice evenimentelor cotidiene: omenescul, mult-prea-omenescul, reflecţiile cu privire la evenimentele politice zilnice, asupra tuturor aspectelor de sub soare se îmbină, – uneori condimentate ironic cu titluri din presă, alteori comentate drastic şi ţintind sub centură – schiţând împreună o imagine a propriei stări de spirit precum şi a celei generale, de actualitate, a societăţii în perioade de criză. Această radiografie a stării de spirit se alătură caleidoscopului care se concentrează asupra propriei persoane, în sinergie cu reprezentări mitologice şi fragmente din domeniul filozofiei (cugetări) şi al literaturii.

The creative force and „an unstoppable pleasure of drawing” (Fabritius) mark to this day the creations of the German artist of Transylvanian origin Gert Fabritius. His graphic works, which were born in the rhythm of journal entries, are presented as a liberating artistic activity with self-orientation and uncertainties specific to everyday events: the human, the too-human, the reflections on daily political events, on all aspects from under the sun they combine, – sometimes ironically spiced up with headlines, sometimes drastically commented and aiming under the belt – sketching together an image of their own state of mind as well as the general, current one, of the society in times of crisis. This radiography of the mood joins the kaleidoscope which focuses on one’s own person, in synergy with mythological representations and fragments from the field of philosophy (thoughts) and literature.
