The National Museum of Romanian Literature has the pleasure of inviting you to a lecture entitled “To Double Business Bound: René Girard, Mircea Eliade, and Hamlet” presented by Thomas Cousineau, Professor of English (Emeritus) at Washington College and former Fulbright Scholar in American Studies at the University of Bucharest. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 19th, from 6 p.m., at The National Museum of Romanian Literature (Nicolae Crețulescu Street no.8).

Thomas Cousineau is the author of “After the Final No: Samuel Beckett’s Trilogy”, “Waiting for Godot: Form in Movement”, “Ritual Unbound: Reading Sacrifice in Modernist Fiction”, “Three-Part Inventions: The Novels of Thomas Bernhard”, and guest editor of “Beckett in France,” a special issue of the Journal of Beckett Studies. His most recent book, “An Unwritten Novel: Fernando Pessoa’s The Book of Disquiet” received an “Outstanding Title” citation from the American Library Association.

Muzeul Național al Literaturii Române are plăcerea de a vă invita la conferința intitulată “To Double Business Bound: René Girard, Mircea Eliade, and Hamlet” prezentată în limba engleză de Thomas Cousineau, profesor emerit la Washington College și cercetător Fulbright în Studii Americane la Universitatea din București. Evenimentul va avea loc miercuri, 19 iunie 2019, ora 18.00, la sediul MNLR din Strada Nicolae Crețulescu 8.

Thomas Cousineau este autorul cărților “After the Final No: Samuel Beckett’s Trilogy”, “Waiting for Godot: Form in Movement”, “Ritual Unbound: Reading Sacrifice in Modernist Fiction”, “Three-Part Inventions: The Novels of Thomas Bernhard”, editor invitat al volumului “Beckett in France,” un număr special al Journal of Beckett Studies. Cea mai recentă carte a sa, “An Unwritten Novel: Fernando Pessoa’s The Book of Disquiet”, a primit recunoașterea de „titlu exceptional” din partea Asociației Bibliotecarilor Americani.
